The new year has begun and although we are a little late, we are still at the beginning of this year with a lot of astronomical activities awaiting us.
While we have covered the conjunctions and supermoons, we have also included days of the year best suited for spotting deep sky objects. Days when nebulae and galaxies are well placed (rise at sunset and set around sunrise).
The calendar has been set to fit A4 size whereas the full size is set to 13″ x 19″ which is the standard print sheet at offset printers and is best suited for notice boards.
Some of the basic and regular astronomical events that occur on the same date every year have been left out in favor of deep sky objects.
