Conjunction of Venus and Mars

Venus and Mars will share the same right ascension, with Venus passing 0°29′ to the north of Mars. And the same day they will make a close approach, passing within a mere 28.1 arcminutes of each other.

Venus will be at mag -3.9, and Mars at mag 1.8, both in the constellation Leo.

The pair will be close enough to fit within the field of view of a telescope, but will also be visible to the naked eye or through a pair of binoculars.
