Penumbral Lunar Eclipse Jan ’20- Photos by PAAC

January 11, 2020

The moon passed through Earth’s shadow causing an eclipse which was hardly visible as it was the Earth’s penumbra that the moon took a stroll through. Penumbral lunar eclipses do not display a significant shadow of the Earth on the Moon.

But Luna did turn a little dim last night at around 12.00am and the shadow was observable at 12.30am around the eclipse peak at 12.40am.
